Financing Future Exports of Canada's Electrical Power Equipment Industry

In the 1980s, the Canadian power equipment manufacturing sector underwent a significant rationalization and restructuring, resulting in a modem, efficient industry. With longer product lines and improved labour productivity, the industry is now better positioned to face the competition of larger European, Japanese and US players, both at home and abroad.
